I didn't realize Jesperi Kotkaniemi was having such an underwhelming year. That's a tough one batman. I like him as a player, but the market for middle line forwards has been weakening for years in the stagnant cap. He probably would be a good 3C which PIT could use. Id just rather futures only though.

So I expect with the cap going up, the market for middle of the lineup forwards will get more charitable. It's just with a flat cap, teams are looking at those middle of the lineup forwards and thinking I'd rather just have a very low cap hit player instead and save that money for top of the lineup player. I do think he would be a quality third line center on a contender. Just not sure Pittsburgh fits that at all as they likely need a long rebuild.
