Stankoven is just too good to be dropped to AHL again for good, he needs a regular place in the lineup. Need to create room for him somehow, meanwhile upgrading the general team level.

Seattle doesn't currently have the cap space to retain in a deal like that. Besides w/ the LTIR space created in Vegas, they'll make a better offer for Guentzel.

Yea, trading Bourque for a rental would be dumb as f*ck. Would rather go for cheaper alternatives.
