That’s too much for Petey. Can’t see Detroit giving that much

It's a ton but you are getting a 25-year-old center who will be coming off 2 straight 100+ point seasons. This probably puts them over the top and the only roster piece they lose is Raymond.

No from Detroit

Fair enough, it is a lot. Although I do think it pushes you guys over the edge. I honestly have no clue what a deal would look like but I think Vancouver would ask for a kings ransom

Sounds about right though, maybe minus one. I think if he is coming with an extension in place that would be the cost on vancouvers end. Then again negotiations happen for a reason. Just so hard to actually visualize what a deal would look like

But not when 3 of them were top 10 picks. Hypothetically if a team offer sheet EP40 maybe 1 of those picks might be a lottery but probably not in the top 10. There isn't anyone who is going to give up that much for EP40. Maybe in the late 90s though the 2000s but in the NHL now 1 player can't carry a team. If 1 player could McDavid would have about 5 rings by now.

Four top picks four years apart.

Drafted 5 2017
Drafted 7 2018
Drafted 10 2019
Unknown 2020 (Mukhamadulin)

Would you trade them back then knowing this is where they are now?

Not saying any of these three are EP40, but losing those three before they hit their potential would be crippling while also hurting the present cap space.
