This is a real mixed bag. NSH likely doesn't do most of these. The Barrie to DAL deal and the Trenin to NJD deal are the only ones NSH would do
1. The return on Saros, especially retained, is frankly abysmal and Trotz would just resign Saros is that is all he could get.
2. The Novak return is a lot of nothing and NSH could get more than a 2nd and 3rd for Novak (I have no faith TBL wins the cup 2 years for now). Additionally, it has been reported that NSH is actively trying to resign Novak now, so I doubt he gets moved.
3. Not opposed to the Smith deal, but I doubt NSH is going to trade a guy they just resigned. Although I think many NSH fans would like to see Smith not in NSH.
4. The Carrier deal is about right in terms of value, although NSH would probably prefer like a 2nd and a 4th for Carrier and would likely be willing to retain to get that return, but those picks would need to be either for this years draft or next year. They likely aren't willing to wait that long for the return on Carrier.
