What’s wrong with the STL trade? I think both teams say yes on this one too.
Only the CGY one I don’t see happening

It’s a quality over quantity thing. What you’ve got is Broberg a first and second for Buch. Another second for retention and Janmark has zero value. That offer would be beaten in either prospect quality or pick compensation

It’s simply not enough for Buch, also I can’t see them trading him without a high end RHD prospect coming back

This is a good offer. Think Blues would accept if trade him this year.

Broberg doesn’t have the value that you think he does

I very much doubt it doesn’t start at 2 firsts plus a good prospect
That’s what’s being reported

That package to Calgary isn't even big enough for just dumping Campbell let alone getting Markstrom

I value Broberg higher than a late first. He’d play immediately for Blues. Realize others may think differently.

I Think thats our biggest weakness in our prospect pool atm, at least on the left side we have lidstein, Scotty P, and Loof to an extent RD we have nothing

Akey is a very good RHD prospect and bourgault will probably be a good 3rd line C/RW plus a first in a year Calgary does not have one from the trade to Montreal plus extra is a very decent future haul for one player they do not need to retain on

It's an okay return but not for Markstrom with Campbell as the cap dump period. As I said that barely covers the cost of Campbell.

Well right now most of the league is in a cap on cap out right now but I would imagine only the one bad contract plus all those futures for the one player unretained who makes more anyway wouldn’t be a bad plan and since the flames desperately need a retool/rebuild it’s not like the flames necessarily need 100% of their cap space right now as they won’t be competing.

Your right so they should just help out there biggest rival out of there worst contract, giving them a top goalie for a sub par/ discounted return because they won't necessarily being using all there cap right now. That makes sense
