Interresting idea, but I'm open to add a conditional low pick (between 5th - 7th round pick in 2025) to be send to the Habs for the numers of wins by Allen in 24-25.

Yeah it doesn't work if Ritchie is involved. Outside of that, a different piece maybe and maybe another pick to get a further 50% retained on Allen, or else he's still too expensive.

Saw this as well and Anaheim makes out like bandits.
Granted, they are using 2/3 retention slots and taking back Ryjo, but that's contingent on Colorado paying for players they can't afford.
You can get a backup for less than a 3rd and $1M, or at least someone who is UFA to forego the retention for next year.
That just leaves Henrique for Ryjo. Should cost one less first and that 3rd can go to 3rd party retention on Henrique.
