Pleks for Stastny likely wouldn't be enough to get the Blues to move Stastny, and Carr is one of several similar-style forwards -- albeit the oldest of them -- who the Habs will have a tough time fitting in. You've already got Scherbak, Hudon, JDLR, Holland, Addison, Audette. I'd be fine moving just about any of these guys, other than Scherbak.

Not bad. Stastny is an improvement up front and opens up a little more offence. Assumes Habs PK will be as effective with Shaw -- often the guy in the box -- Mitchell and Byron could handle the man-short duties.

What more would you like? A pick or perhaps a bottom-2 D like Davidson?

Or the Blues could add to Stastny from their abundance of 3rd liners and LD prospects and go after Chucky. Something like Stastny, Walman, Sanford for Galchenyuk?

You're probably close, but I think the Habs are still high on Scherbak as he's only 21 and coming off a missed first pro season because of an ankle injury. Maybe there's something in a Gallagher+Pleks for Stastny and a good prospect or two. Thomas or Thompson? Kyrou looks interesting?
