Depth was the most important element of the last Bolts Stanley cups.

This lineup looks like the Leafs forward group. Very strong top 6 forward, but absolutely no depth on the bottom 6.
I would think this team is better with more depth and no Hanifin.

That’s why I feel it’d be best to either let Stamkos leave or not trade for Hanifin.

I saw that Hanifin is interested in signing here, obviously not trading for him this year would hurt our chances now, but what if we just waited for the off-season to approach him? Use those assets instead to ship out Sheary and other cap while keeping Perbix as 3RD?

Doubt he makes it to free agency

if we get hanifin then there would be no need for perbix though it would probably look like:

Hedman - Thompson
Hanifin - Sergachev
Lilleberg - Cernak
Scratches: Raddysh

It is immaterial because that is nowhere near enough forHanifin - you would have to hope he doesn't sign with whoever he is traded to cause everyone beats that offer!
