If any GM is spending a first on Dumba they need to be psychologically evaluated

Done deal! A late 1st would be a great add for trading up into the top 20 in the 2024 draft. There is excellent talent in this years draft and if AZ can pick two it would be ideal.

Dumba has been terrible this season. He's basically a defensive black hole and he's not even putting up points. This would be awful for the leafs

This is far too much for 2024 Dumba. He makes boneheaded plays like every offensive defenseman, but he isn't generating offense. The good news is he's been decent on the PK, and is playing very physical. So you've got a third pair defenseman, maybe a four in the right circumstances who has size and loves to use it, is very mobile and can carry the puck in transition. I still think a third and Chadwick gets it done and would be good for both clubs. Villeneuve would be fine, too. I don't pretend to know how Leafs fans see the depthchart. AZ should be looking for a dman to add to the system.

But If you think you're getting a top pair dman still, you're going to hate him. He's more like a 3rd pair thumper who skates very well. I think someone picks him up relatively cheaply and is extremely happy. If someone picks him up expecting him to be a huge add on D or to anchor a top four pairing, they'll hate him. He's not that anymore.
