laugh Both the Hanifin and Hedman trades would be beat. Just to move Goodrow would take the 1st and 2nd round pick and Kakko and Lindgren don't get Hedman.

I'm fine with getting another defensemen at the deadline as long as Hanifin is still signed to that contract in free agency. Goodrow half retained and the 1st and 2nd would help the rangers in value.

You can have goodrow back for free. Rangers don’t need an older declining rental defenseman for Lindgren, Kakko and picks

Take off a pick, sign Hedman to an extension, and taking on Goodrow helps the Lightning in trade value. I'd even take on a little more of his salary.

They lost in the first round once, just like Tampa recently did lmao

But I didn’t realize Hedman was the key to an automatic Stanley cup finals 😂

He is a huge contributor to a contender to a team who wants to win now. Y’all made it to the ECF and that’s the farthest you have gone recently

Ok and? You act like winning the Stanley Cup and winning playoff rounds is easy. I guess Carolina should just sell because they haven’t gone very far

Also, based off your logic Tampa should completely sell and rebuild if you’re trading Hedman away and not trying to win now

Not really seeing how Tampa will be able to make any big splurges, let alone two.

Are you referring to the Hanifin TDL move? If that doesn’t work just sign Hanifin at free agency.

Yes, that seems much more realistic. Can't see Calgary accepting a 1st they have to wait three drafts for.

A 1st a 2nd and Perbix with no retention asked for isn't too bad... The 7th hardly matters.

Perbix is a 6th round pick with very little to no value, 1st and 2nd will be more than likely very late and it's 2026 1st that's 3 drafts away. I'f imagine that Craig Conroy will get a far better offer than that.

Yeah he's a 6th round pick but he's been a decent 3rd pairing defenseman for Tampa for close to 2 years now. Not bad and certainly better than the typical replacement level player who can be acquired at a moment's notice. Calgary is going to need a defenseman or two like that next year Perbix has 1 year left on his contract at a very affordable AAV plus he's the harder to find right shot RD and has good size too.

In addition Tampa's picks in 25 and 26 (24 too) are quite likely to be higher than we're used to them being. In fact they're in a wildcard spot right now they might not even make the playoffs in 25 or 26.
