Idk what people are smoking saying Arizona declines that’s a ton of quality assets and only one player coming to Edmonton that is a lock for ice time come playoffs that’s only because ceci is being moved out. Idk as an oilers fan that deal looks like the beginning of the end.

campbell going to cost 1st and broberg leaving-
lavoie sure AZ love to get him, Ceci is 30yo and for 1 year - not really wanted, the other 1st (late) and 2nd are great but wont help team for years. not a 'ton of quality assets'

Ya I guess 2 firsts a second and best prospect not currently on the team and another decent prospect are garbage assets teams can piss away while not significantly improving any aspect to the roster. Makes total sense. Massive pass

when you already have 13 x 1st or 2nd in next 3 years, on top of the 12 x 1st/2nd in last 3 years drafted, yeah giving up 3 current players (all under (or RFA) contract) for more futures is not needed. broberg would be another decent D prospect, but AZ has a ton, ceci would be expensive TDL next year-not part of future plans, campbell is anchor contract. So yes lavoie would be great to get but not for best D (RFA) decent backup G (27yo) and veteran middle 6 C. in the past AZ does all day but they have too many picks (already close to limit of reserve list) and enough prospects and dont need bad contracts anymore. Sorry but GM has said they are done trading players (core) for futures.

If Arizona doesn’t want the deal ok. I’m just looking at it from oilers perspective and that would never be considered.

The two 1sts are minimum payment for taking on Campbell

That leaves Durzi+Vejmelka+Bjugstad+3 3rds for Ceci+Lavoie+Broberg+2nd

Lavoie at this point has very little value, might be a decent third liner someday
Broberg's value is fading
Ceci is a cap dump? Not sure. Certainly not part of any value for Arizona.

Durzi is a good top 4 guy
Vejmelka is a solid backup/borderline starter

It's a weak offer. If you take Durzi out it can make sense, assuming the Coyotes are okay with taking on Campbell's contract, but with Durzi in there, there's nothing here that's more valuable to Arizona than Durzi.
