He's been injured, but is it possible that last season was an anomaly and this season + the previous ones are a more accurate representation of the player? And that's not to say his 30 goal season isn't re-achievable, just that another 45+ goal season might not be in the cards.

I dunno. He was really good in 2021-22... This seems to be about confidence. I think he sees all the high pedigree guys, outperforming him, and he's imploding a bit.

Injuries have had us playing with our lines all year & that’s killed consistency from pretty much all our forwards (besides Mittelstadt)
We just need to stay healthy so he can get his groove back with his regular linemates (Skinner & Tuch)

Back spasms since October, and broke his hand in November then came back too early in December and played most the month with it still healing.

Ooof. Back spasms.... Back injuries are rough. Hope he makes a full recovery.
