The same guy that mentioned the trade details said that Markstrom will be traded before the start of next season, and in all likelihood before this year's trade deadline. Again take it for what you will.

It's not a concern, because the deal wasn't finalized. I think Conroy will do just fine, if Fitz wants to throw a fit over it well then that's his choice.

Personally I don’t think any of this happened…I think it started as a click-bait report, that was partially validated by a routine meeting between the two GMs (when Calgary was in town) and Eric Francis getting Markstrom on record saying he would waive.

(But who really knows?)
