What context is that? I've seen you say no to similarly packaged offers for Buch. Can't have it both ways here. If Konecny came with extension - think Blues would do. Would then probably trade Buch in off-season or at next deadline depending to recapture some of assets depleted.

The context of not blowing a ton of assets, including the 24 1st, for a winger and Staal (eww). We need to deal with the defense first. Wingers are the easiest thing to add, and Konecny is about to be a year from UFA. We could always snag him later for less, or maybe even for nothing. The 24 1st needs to be used on a legit top4 Dman, one way or another. At this moment, my preference would be using it to trade up.
