It made sense to move Pesce before the season started. Makes no sense to deal him now and then turn around and use those assets to replace him.

Pesce isn’t a desirable asset for all teams, and he also has trade protection…not as simple as that. Lmao

It sure does if the asset the Canes can get would have term. As an example, what if the Canes make a pitch for Ferraro from SJ. Pesce to TB, helps them this year with injuries, and Canes then pivot to resigning Skjei and Chatfield. IMO, they can only fit one of Skjei or Pesce.

I doubt the re-sign either Pesce or Skjei. That’s what Orlov is for. They should be able to find a reasonably priced 4D this offseason.

Pesce is a good defender that isn’t in question. But there is no reason why we can’t do both at the same time. For the record, I’m just trying to see what bolts fans think the return would be. If it’s not high enough, it doesn’t make sense regardless.
