Reread my post, i said NYR don't have 5 years. But the window is still open for a few 2-3 seasons. Panarin and Kreider are still good, NYR are still one of the top teams in the east.

I get that rebuilds are appealing for fans nowadays, but when you're a top 5 team in the league, you have to aim for the cup and not for a top 10 pick. I wish MTL was a top 5 team.

Eh, no. Kreider Mika can't produce 5 on 5. Panarin is having a great year, but last year wasn't that good, so we do not know what Panarin we get. Chytil might be done playing hockey, Igor been really struggling, Kakko have taken a step back etc. I'm not sure where you dream this stuff up to be honest

It will help teams because NYR will lose depth and in house talent, forcing them to over pay for TDL players each season which further depletes their depth and next year they will need to make more desperate moves and so on...
