TDL probable moves or not

Transactions
1.
MTL
  1. Campbell, Jack
  2. Choix de 1e ronde en 2024 (EDM)
  3. Choix de 2e ronde en 2024 (EDM)
Détails additionnels:
EDM get rid of the weight of Campbell's contract. Campbell would still need to agree to the move, they provide a 1st to alleviate the Cap hit. EDM Provide a 2nd round pick for Allen, but would get back a 3rd and a 4th for that pick.
EDM
  1. Allen, Jake (1 000 000 $ retained)
  2. Choix de 3e ronde en 2024 (MIN)
  3. Choix de 4e ronde en 2024 (MTL)
Détails additionnels:
Habs receive a 1st round pick for the Campbell contract. They provide Allen who's a proven 2nd goalie, and while he may have a not great GAA, he does play with a rebuilding team so moving him to a better puck control team he would get his stats back up to a better standard. So a bad contract, plus a late 1st and 2nd for a 3rd and a 4th with a better than average backup goalie should be something reasonable to see happen.

MTL
    FUTURE CONSIDERATIONS;

NYI would probably move another player to make space, but that's a move that would be a Lamoriello could do.
    NYI
    1. Armia, Joel
    Détails additionnels:
    Future consideration could be:
If NYI don't make the playoffs = nothing
If NYI move to the playoffs = 7th pick (2025)
If NYI move to the second or third round = upgrade to a 6th pick (2025)
If NYI move to the final round = upgrade to a 3rd pick (2025)
    3.
    MTL
    1. Choix de 2e ronde en 2026 (VAN)
    Détails additionnels:
This is just what is being reported as a POSSIBLE destination for Savard. Not what I think may happen since I don't think HABS will trade out Savard.

Canucks have no interest in Savard, and a 2nd is too much for him. Would much rather target Tanev

I think if it was straight up Allen for Campbell then a 1st would be enough for the swap but adding a 3rd and 4th and retaining on Allen should require at least another 1st.

IMO a 2nd 3rd is what it would take to trade Savard

Armia, I think retention is needed but I also think there is a playoff team out there that would have interest similar to what the Avs had in Lehkonen

Calm down, it's some media outlets looking at possible moves that COULD be beneficial to teams in order to run for the cup; VAN was just ONE of them.. I just posted this one with Vancouver and what they could pay to get his services. A 2nd pick for a guy like him is what could be seen as a good payoff for MTL and any other team.

It's not set in stone or being reported widely.. Just during Sportsnet, TSN and RDS shows, they talk about "possible" trade partners. None of them say it's what's actually going on.. So no need to panic.

Hugues may not even want to trade him unless it's somewhere of an over payment that can't be dismissed. Which I don't think VAN would do...

I know, but like I said, Lamoriello would need to move someone out to bring him in. Armia doesn't have a 1st or 2nd round pick value I agree. But the guy has value and he's not over 4M$.

Lamoriello could potentially move someone Roy doesn't feel like he's giving it all and actually get great return, which would benefit to have a guy like Armia able to play the 4th, but also can move up to 3rd when needed.

Lots of people don't see the value of some players and forget Habs are rebuilding and have been hit with top liners being sidelined. This ain't an overvalued contract like Anderson. Armia can play and score too, it's just a matter of having the right guys on his line. Right now he's not playing with NHL ready guys most of the time.

Note: I didn't say they were, just going on about the fact that some shows indicate potential trade partners, not actual reports, and offer their views on what could be traded for and what value would that player bring to X team.

Savard is worth a 2nd, many have gone this route, others have listed high talented prospects against him. None I'm familiar with. He's a top 4 DMan (not saying top 2..) who's playing on a teams that can't keep the puck on the offensive side. Hence, most Dmen will not look great. Hell, even Laracque (who constantly dishes out against Mtl players) indicated a good 2nd, even a late 1st pick could be fair for Savard. I think a 2nd is fair, a 1st is a "Ok you get him and a bag of pucks! Need any sticks and tape with that order??" response from Hugues.. It would be too much.

He's under 4M$ which is rare these days for a top 4 NHLer at the blue line who's a seasoned veteran and able to increase his play during the offseason, also add that he's signed for next year so the team could keep him or trade him for assets during the offseason.

Personally, I think he stays in MTL since he's a great leader to bring up guys like Ghule, Harris, Struble and others. I don't see him leave. But saying he's not worth a 2nd is pushing it.. We've all seen trades at TDL get way more than that.
