Leafs need guys who can fill out roles, they need PKers and Walker is a great one. Schenn fills the hole of Rielly's physical partner. I know what you're saying and I think Walker could easily be replaced by Tanev in this ACGM. There's no affordable (cap hit) RHD with term that are available imo
