Dube is absolutely untradeable at this time, along with the other four players rumoured to be involved in the scandal.

Additionally, to think the Blackhawks, a franchise trying to rebuild their image after the Kyle Beach sexual assault would even consider trading for anyone with a questionable past at this time is just ridiculous.

I mean truth is Toronto lacks a proper two-way guy. There main issue is goaltending and defense so don't you think this trade addresses some of those issues? Its also entirely possible Hanifin stays

Leafs have goaltending problems this year, but might be OK now. But I'll never understand why folks are so enamoured with Flames Dmen (and Leafs Dmen are so awful). The Flames have given up five fewer goals this season. Weager and Andersson probably the top two best Flame Dman. Hanifan and Tanev second pair Dmen. Surely the records show they aren't difference makers.

Leafs have had goaltending problems for 4 of the last 5 seasons. Hanifin has been a reliable d-man for 3 seasons in a row now. Notice a pattern?
