Ducks accept

Toronto, of all teams, isn't going to retain on a player sent to Anaheim, of all teams, and the Ducks are highly unlikely to be trading one UFA for another without substantial compensation. Lyubushkin is probably worth a third and a fourth and Carrick is probably worth a fifth. Holmberg is the kind of inexpensive bottom-sixer that you guys should keep around. You can probably get something more for Brodie somewhere else.

The idea behind the retention is that Anaheim is a cash poor team, Toronto is the richest team in the league. More about real dollars than cap management. The reason Anaheim would trade a UFA for another is all the other compensation I threw in.
