If NJD makes the ECF and our 1st transfers to next year we’d either add a 3rd going back to you or take away the 3rd coming back to us depending on the scenario

I’d think Vanacek would make more sense in this scenario where you’re trading Allen away as well as a guy with bounce back potential who can eat starts. Not a long term commitment either

I can’t say I’m a draft class expert, not something I keep up with all that well usually, but more than fair.

I expect the devils first next year to be much later than this years 1st.

This years 1st is going to be in the 18-22ish range if we make the playoffs (and don’t make the ECF bc in that case it goes to SJS)

I expect us to be much better next regular season and that pick to be in the 24-27 range if we don’t make the ECF.

With dougie back, better health, goaltending, and development from Luke and Nemec (this is the big one), I expect us to be a much better team next year

That’s all the insight I can provide. I’d offer the 2025 1st instead if you prefer it no strings attached (outside of like top 10 protection for some crazy scenario just in case as there always is)

I just can’t see a goalie other than saros getting a first. Beat I can see is a second and a prospect or 4th or 5th rounder.

As Hockey91 stated goalies don't tend to get massive returns unless you're a top 10 guy and even then the deals are underwhelming. Maybe go for a rhd or maybe Kuznetsov? Idk
