I can only see the Pens being remotely interested in Vladar if Ned is moved at the deadline. Even then, they still may not want him.

Would you rather have this package or Bahl, Clarke, and a 3rd from NJ for Tanev? I think NJ likes Hanifin more, but I’d take either. I’d probably offer the same players but swap the 3rd for a 1st if it’s Hanifin

Arizona aren't buyers, And no Hanifin isn't waiving and signing long term with a team that's likely heading to Salt Lake City this coming summer.

I truly don't understand why so many CGY fans trade Vladar to us. It literally makes zero sense. We have two good goalies already. Vladar is overpaid and mediocre.

AZ GM said they arent taking bad contracts or rentals but has said will look at young high talent guys (hanifin fits). the team isnt moving despite the canada media trying there best and even if did why would player not sign because of that - its not like the team is folding or going to siberia.

this is banking on the idea that the pens are gonna be sellers and move a goalie. If they arent then the trade makes 0 sense

would CAL want more picks or near NHL ready guys? AZ has a lot of both, would soderstrum, jenik, and doan or kolyonochek (all are close to NHL ready) be more interesting than picks ?

your offer is much nicer, but I doubt NJ would do it

Probably a mix of both tbh. Also depends on what arizona wants to give up.

Hanifin isn't wasting his time on a bottom feeder, Everything is suggesting that he's going home to Boston this summer, he's not wasting his time on a team that's a royal joke.

Yeah ik but I definitely would. NJ also wouldn’t need retention cuz Hamilton is on LTIR. If anything, we’d ask for 25% retention

Just adding to the winger depth after losing Kuzy. Not necessary whatsoever just an add-on

They have playoff aspirations this year, and its nowhere near 100% that hes going to Boston. I doubt he'd be continually linked to NJD and ARI if he didn't want to go there.

If they're gonna be sellers and decide to move Ned, they have Hellberg in the AHL to bring up. With all due respect, CGY would have to add sweetener for any team to take Vladar. He's a pretty bad goalie making $2M+ for another year.

He's linked to NJD and ARI because they're totally interested in him, Doesn't mean the same, FYI Detroit is heavily interested as well. Doesn't mean it's going to happen. ARI isn't giving up no 1st round pick for him. So it's DOA period.

BOS has 27m in cap space for next year - swayman will get paid and they still have 10 roster slots after him to fill. he may want to go home they might not be able to fit him in.
my bad I forgot that you guys are buddies and you know what he is planning.

laugh Don't have to be buddies, NHL insiders are saying it's not me only going by what they're currently reporting.

you know CAL market - a '24 pick is 17yo now not helping team for many years, Id think CALG fans want a retool on the fly not a rebuild (still have ton of talent on team). would solid young role guys be better than picks or viceversa?

he prolly would like to play hometown, also in BOS he wont be the man he will be behind a few and contract (+taxes) might also factor in, IDK if Im AZ love to get him if he wants to come. he comes out and says only going to BOS then CALG is effed and will lose for pennies on the dollar.
