His value has definitely fluctuated a bit in the eyes of caps fans. Bad start to the season, especially compared to his last two years where he’s been a borderline #2 guy, probably #3. He’s been really good the last month and a half. Two second rounders or a second and a decent prospect would probably be just fine.

I don’t think the caps are at a just stock draft picks rebuild level yet. I wouldn’t move Jensen unless we can get near nhl ready talent. I wouldn’t cry about two 2nds either

Wouldn't give much for Jensen and certainly not what Caps fans here are suggesting, he's 33 and signed for $4M×3, if he hits a wall that contract is terrible, too much risk.

Would give a 3rd at most but that's not worth it to the Caps.

There is no chance that Jensen's value is a 2nd and a top prospect like Lambert?! I'd move a 2nd for him, maybe another pick but if that truly is his value I don't see many teams doing that.

The term is the reason you wouldn't get a prospect also. Team A gets a nice d man for 3 years to help their team, Team B (Caps) get a draft pick and the cap relief. They have Bear to replace him. I don't need him off the Caps though myself. It could be TVR also. I think after this year they should try to move one of them just to make room for AA or to add a real good and different type of top 4 defensemen.
