Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

- nothing too crazy here, trying to keep it realistic
- seattle has played well this year and i think there's a better than 50/50 chance he is moved
- the return for eberle at 50% would be around a first round pick. in this case, it gives seattle a 2nd round pick and a nhl ready d prospect (and conditionals)
- the trade for megna gives the rangers a defensive dman if needed in the playoffs. more of an insurance policy than anything else, but it allows for some vet presence on defense if needed

yeah they are about 15 guys in the nhl that could be slotted for this, but he's a cheap stay at home defenseman who somehow has a positive +/- (although only 11 games) with CHI this year. like i said, this trade could be done with half the teams in the league, but it provides an insurance policy later on. also on an expiring deal, i don't see him staying with chicago

I agree, that is a very fair offer for a guy the Hawks grabbed off the scrap heap a few weeks ago but Megna’s play so far may have bought him an additional year in Chicago. I could see Davidson extending him for next season since he seems to have by-passed Tinordi.

Eberle depends entirely on if Seattle thinks they are in the playoffs or not, and whether he wants to be traded (16 team NTC). He doesn't wear the "C" but Ebs is the captain of this team. I've seen him have to answer questions so many times after a tough Seattle loss. I also think the demand for him if Seattle does trade him will be pretty high.
