Gudbranson got moved from Florida for pennies on the dollar for good reason. He put up a whopping 6 points in an impressive 30 games last year as a -14. Now he never played well on Florida, but some of those bad numbers you could attribute to the terrible team he plays on, however even his relative corsi is horrible. He makes his bad team even worse. And 4.3M for the next 4 years of Sutter? A 3rd line center? Hard pass. Let the Canucks keep their terrible roster to themselves.
Steel is trending the absolute opposite direction. You'd need to be thinking more Horvat/Baertschi, who are understandably untouchable and already off their ELCs anyway. Steel will certainly not be a Canuck

At this point, Steel has no ceiling. It is very rare that a CHL player can average two points per game over a whole season. In recent years, it's been McDavid, Strome, Marner, Drouin, Ehlers, and a few more. I'm not gonna risk trading a young Getzlaf for a young Vermette. Sorry bud, you got a big hole to dig out of over there.
