As a hockey player, I think he is a perfect fit and exactly what we need.
As long as he is past the struggles he was dealing with earlier this year, I would not be opposed and actually be in favor. I am big on second chances.
I do agree with you that transparency about what happened in Chicago and the steps he has since taken to ensure it doesn't happen again, would be essential in making sure this type of signing goes smoothly.
As long as that's provided and his actions since have been reasonable, then it would be good.
Without that, the super loud 10% of haters will just make a HUGE deal out of it. If we know the details and the actions, the move can at least be defended from those types of people.
