1st for Tanev is possible though. But I wouldn't pay that if I were the Leafs (without another piece coming back).

Robertson is having a strong year, while only playing 10 and a half minutes a game. We shouldn't just use him as a throw in in a trade. If we trade him, he should be a main piece of value.

I think you're underestimating Tanev's value, especially to the Leafs, who tend to have to pay a premium compared to other teams in trades.
I also think you're overestimating Robertson's value. He's a promising young player with a lot of puck-handling skill and a good shot, but he's just too small. Trading for him is asking for trouble, especially as a team that just suffered several disastrous trades and signings and is trying to avoid a decade-long rebuild.

I have Tanev valued around a 1st. I just wouldn't pay the price if I were the Leafs. I would want another piece back (such as a 3rd) if we do trade the 1st for Tanev.

And I agree with you about Robertson. Hence why I wouldn't trade him. UNLESS a team actually valued him close to a early 2nd round pick.
