If you retain or add you get a player like Rust, otherwise you're talking Horny and a pick or prospect. We just don't have anything like Rust, and honestly don't think he would work next to Leon/Lucic. A safer bet is a move like Horny plus a first. If you'd really rather have another player included with Horny (aka see EDM as "win now") you're talking someone like Wilson who has produced a tad less or someone who is close to NHL ready like Simon/Archibald/Blueger etc.

I agree. I don't think we move rust either with horny. Our RW depth as it stands is:

Kessel, horny, rust, reaves, sprong, Aston Reece (with sheery being able to play RW). If we lose horny + rust that's a huge blow to our RW depth

I understand what ya both mean I took horn with it because it'd clear cap for you and we need a good right winger I would love to do RNH for rust plus a second but I don't you'd be able to take that much salary

Never be the one phoning a team who just won the cup for a trade, you'll overpay.
If there are genuine cap problems that bring 2 teams who want different things together, they'll phone you.

I don't think R. N-Hopkins has that value to Pittsburgh.
Hornqvist equals his production and is a gamer. His role on the PP doesn't get filled here or on our roster, so it's hole.
To get Rust you'd need more then a 2nd. We don't need the pick. We're cup contenders. We need a true 3rd line center, and with out removing 2 roster spots. So we'd probably move WIlson or Kuhnackl, a prospect, a pick and get what we actually need ... a PK center who's going to put his body in front of pucks and win faceoffs.

RNH has more value in NYI, MTL, CBJ ... we're good on scoring line center.
