CLB isn't retaining multiple years on Elvis, esp with a cap dump and only a 5th going the other way,
Gregor is more valuable to the Leafs than Duclair would be. Duclair doesn't fit in the top 6, and the 3rd line is solid (though he could replace Robertson). He's not suited for a 4th line roll.
Leafs need D, and a top notch shrink for Sammy.
THis move does not fix the Leafs issues, and even more so complicates them.

On top of that why would the sharks give up Duclair and Burroughs for a winger they didn’t want, another vet AHL player and a lousy 7th.
