I could see him being moved if NYR decide he isnt worth the money but it seems unlikely anyways.

Rangers probably just keep Lindgren if that’s the return. They don’t really have the cap to go out and upgrade to Hanifin or someone else

Well, the Rangers obviously hard pass, and the Blues are not doing the first one. If someone gets Krug with 10M retention, that's it. No more goodies. Frankly, they'd be paying us something. Of course, there's almost no chance Army retains that much.

I think the point NYR fans are missing is if NY doesn't have the cap or feel they need him and move his rights in the offseason, and that feels fair over not qualifying him and losing him for nothing!
But yea if he can be signed for a reasonable amount I would keep him!
