I was wondering that as well...but in this scenario I could see McCabe taking Liljegren's role as they both can play the Right Side and both can skate and both make some mistakes with the puck.

That would add a playoff style LH dman to the Leafs with not as much upside as Liljegren and 3 years older than Liljegren... but I think better suited for the Leafs and where they are as a roster.

I had a time where I really wanted Middleton but Minnesota is stacked on the right side so they don’t have a spot for Lily the only method would be to sell Lily for a first then use that to get Middleton
