For the Philly trade, neither player does anything for Winnipeg. The Jets don't need to downgrade Barron to Frost and have zero need for more bottom pairing defensemen. It makes no sense to pay to downgrade and a player they don't need.

Yeah, Lindholm would certainly be nice, but the Jets just aren't in a position to give up that much of the future for a few weeks of a player. A draft and develop team can't do that.

The 2nd deal just doesn't make any sense for the Jets. Frost doesn't have anywhere to play in the Jets current lineup as he isn't an outright upgrade on anyone in the bottom 6.

Walker, while the hot name right now, is another guy that does nothing for Winnipeg. The Jets need a top 4 defenseman, not yet another bottom pairing guy.
