Personally I'd want an actual prospect coming back in this kind of trade. The 1st is fine, but Gustafsson would be 24 by the start of next year and really hasn't shown himself to be much more than a bottom 6 guy - and the Isles have plenty of those. Not saying it needs to be someone like Perfetti or McGroarty needing to come back, but someone with a little more upside showing.

I'd give up f wagner or levis but not much else this deal has pionk and a 1st on top of a 23 year old and a 3rd. Take out the 3rd if you want a prospect tbh.

it would suck to buy out schmidt but it’s a tough situation. hes good in the locker room and good depth for a long playoff run but makes too much money, blocks our young guys and would be difficult to dump. will be interesting to see what chevy does
