Within division means nothing TB has made trades with Detroit, Florida,Ottawa, the whole won't trade within the division thing is a fan delusion. If Brisebois can do a trade and he or any other GM thinks an offer is better for them they do it.

Tampa declines -- just not enough. Value aside, this makes no sense for them. If they're selling Stammer, they'd probably want some sort of replacement or would be completely tearing down. This is in between the middle and does absolutely nothing for TBL.

Yeah makes sense. Division trading is no big deal. The real question was if they are competing against each other for a playoff spot. But yeah any deal that makes sense for any team GM's must consider for sure. Look at the Calgary and Vancouver trade recently for example

Lol yeah no kidding. So many within the division trades and even rival trades. Ranger and Devils have traded to each other and so have Calgary and Edmonton. I laugh when people post like "no way they trade to a rival" like lol

I completely agree with this it's a old NHL taboo but it really means nothing in todays NHL.

That was a blockbuster trade if I'm remembering correctly (no I didn't Google it) Jean Rattle and Brad Park went to Beantown.

3 Hall of Famers and I honestly don't know Zanussi but Vadnais was a solid defenseman
