Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Trade depends on if Askarov is ready or not. If he's not, Forsberg could be a solid back up for a season. Nashville could flip Forsberg for more assets in the future as well. Nashville upgrades their Draft pick while they are rebuilding / re-tooling.

Ottawa is little bit Cap strapped and I think it would be smarter to use Forsberg's money on skaters and have a cheap back up in Søgaard.

Rest of the money used on Depth players. Didn't know who to sign.

Huh? How does that make sense? Askarov is 21, Saros didn't take over the starting job from Rinne until he was 26. They aren't going to give Saros and 8 year deal at age 28. 6 years at most

They very well could. Hellebuyck just got a 7y extension, Sorokin got a 8y extension.

Fair enough but they still probably aren't trading Askarov. There were rumors about him being available to get a top 10 pick last draft as they probably had a certain player they really wanted but (maybe Bensen or Dvorsky?). But unless they are offered someone with 1C potential I doubt he's made available

no one is going to trade a 1/2C potential prospect for a G prospect no mater who he is, i could see a rebuilding team trade a current 1/2C that is in his mid to late 20s tho as that player would be too old to be 1C after said rebuilding team comes out of their rebuild and even then NSH would have to add as G have a fraction of the value as other position do to the massive uncertainty of the position. (too risky to trade prime assets for G)

if CGY rebuilds i could see a Askarov+ for Lindholm, types of trades like that. (with Lindholm agreeing to extend in NSH of course)

Also, Brannstrom is quality and JBD is progressing really well. You don't just let them go for free
