Podkolzin would join a team already full with wingers and with Gauthier and Michkov also on the timeline, not sure where he'd fit long term. Would rather sell Walker at the deadline over Myers --- he's better and has a lower cap hit, so he's probably going to be easier to move. Frost probably isn't a long-term piece for the Flyers given his recent scratching, but not going to sell low on him.

Getting smaller & not addressing need makes this a non starter for the Canucks.

Walker has been playing great this year and is a great 2nd pairing type of guy. The "size" argument is also kinda just weak? Size doesn't equal physicality, getting a big player and a physical player are two different things

In my mind Podz can fit great into that Flyers system, he doesn't need to be a top 6 guy but he can be a middle 6 guy who can grab 20 goals a year with great physicality. Also it sounds dumb but grabbing him would be good for Michkov, he seemed already hesitant enough to even come to America so to bring in a older russian guy around his age to provide friendship of sorts could be super helpful. Podz just holds more value than Frost due to age, Walker for Myers evens it out. I don't know many pieces the Flyers could get in return for Walker or Frost that would have a higher upside than Podz

I think Walker can ideally get a minimum of a 2nd round pick at the TDL, if not more given how scarce the RHD rental market is and how reliable he has been in Philadelphia. Contending teams that can get another defensemen who can play 20+ minutes a game and special teams is going to be valuable. Same kinda market for Frost, I'd say something a little weaker than Newhook got just because of the age difference. I don't think I'd trade those combined returns for Pod. For Michkov, very doubtful he doesn't come over given his excitement at the draft and desire to play in Philadelphia. He basically has a golden ticket path to an immediate top-six role when he jumps over.
