Cozens and Power for McDavid. Then move a forward prospect and another guy for Rasmus Andersson. Sign Demelo. Get a better tandem goalie

There would be other smaller pieces and the deal and multiple 1sts . That 1000% gets McDavid

That's also asking Edmonton to take back additional cap space for next year while sending out one of the largest cap hits in the league ($15.45M vs $12.5M). Adding Ceci to the deal would balance that nicely, but we also have to remember that the Oilers are on the hook for an extra $3.25M of Connor Brown next season...

I maintain that if Edmonton is moving out McDavid and Draisaitl, they need to be considering a full reset, not a retool. There isn't enough in the cupboard today to sustain a roster of B- or C-tier stars to any real success. Cozens is probably one of the contracts coming back, but besides the expiring deals of Oloffson and E.Johnson, my priority from the Sabres would be Kulich, one of Benson or Savoie, and then likely their next three first round picks. I don't hate the idea of adding Bouchard to that deal in order to turn the "or" in Benson/Savoie into an "and" with another smaller piece and more cap going back to Edmonton.

That said, my above take is purely an emotional response, any deal that has Cozens, Power, ++ coming back for Bouchard and McDavid is a hell of a place to start over for a franchise.

I’d also keep the 2024 1st and try to get another one. Some good RDs in this draft and I know how badly the oilers need some 2 way or defensive ones

I'm more in favour of moving the 2024 pick if the intention is to improve the roster and make it into the playoffs as one of the lower seeds. They'd need some sort of lockout-Blackhawks voodoo to even think about contending for a divisional spot right now. So long as that pick is bringing in a quality defender to put on Edmonton's top pair, and not being used to burn the Campbell contract, moving it is fine. It'll be a pick around #20 and odds are that player isn't helping the McDavid Oilers.

If the intent is to burn it to the ground and start over, boy howdy are there some very nice RHD talents available this year.
