Savard only works if you're replacing Desharnais. Too similar to Ceci to make a significant difference, and Bouchard isn't being replaced in the lineup.

The best thing you could do for defense from Montreal is pick up Kovacevic. Strong defensively, works well with different partners, and low cap hit for this season and next.
Despite eating dzone deployment (80%) he has an even strength goal differential of 0 this season (he was also 0 last season wiith 56% dzone starts).
