24-25 Habs contracts

Description
Lindström - Most likely gone in 23-24 TDL:
Norlinder - Most likely gone in 23-24 TDL:
Monahan - Most likely gone in 23-24 TDL:
Pearson - Most likely gone in 23-24 TDL or Let go after the year:
Wideman - Most likely let go after the season.

I'd go after Reinhart. Lots of talks about Nylander, but I' sure Treliving will sign him long term in TOR because that's what he does, gives out overexaggerate contracts like he did in Calgary and then has a power house in front, but no substance at defense or goalies. So he should be out of contention at TDL of 23-24 season.

FLA may not be able to sign him back next year, while they will have a massive cap space, they'll need to make heavy decisions about their Defense since most of them will be UFA's, so Offense may need to be moved out. Reinhart could be the player to go, if not I think he would be more of an asset than Nylander in the eyes of Hugues.

I just dont think you're getting a 2nd or a 1st for a 33 yr goalie (signed for 2 yrs) that hasn;t been below 3.30 GAA for 4 years.

The 2nd isn't that much of a stretch to a team like EDM that needs a tender to save their season. I wouldn't be giving 28 year old Reinhart 9+ mill for the next 6 seasons that's for sure, that contract wouldn't age well and there are better ways to spend that kind of cash IMO!

But without taking a cap dump from EDM back they couldn;t/wouldn;t do it. I just dont think Allen has played anywhere good enough to be worth a 2nd, again his last good year (as a part time starter) was 4 yrs ago when he was 29 yrs old, and the last 3 yrs his GAA and Save % are poor compared to so many other options for alot less

Yes but he's not on a very good defensive team either. He would have more help in Edmonton than he does now. The cap space does remain the issue here though!

I do think there would HAVE to be cap retention on the deal for a 2nd round pick for a team that is potentially looking at going into the series with some help. I wouldn't go against a 50% cap retention since he only has a year left and next year Habs have the space. But, depending on the team and their potential draft status, if they are eyed going late in rounds, Habs may want another pick in the 4th or 5th round. If they are potentially mid-pack, a 2nd or 3rd round may be enough.

With the Montembault signature that just happened, it seems more likely that one of them is leaving, I just don't think Habs are looking to trade out Montembault or Primeau at this stage or their careers. So Allen would be the best candidate to leave and provide a solid back-up for any team.

As for the comment about his last good yea, you need to take into account that he isn't a first goalie anymore, everyone knows that and his value is still high since if you give him a mid-tier team or above and a third of the games, he's potentially going to get a higher than .500 return on wins.
