Description

Flames have a deep depth on center position and need another top 6 winger. Tatar has more than 20 goals in his last 3 seasons. So he'd be a great fit to Flames. On the other hand, Red Wings is rebuilding and need a cap relief and Tatar is a RFA who will worths at least 5M/year salary. So, trade him for picks makes sense. Besides, Shinkaruk and Kylington are good prospects.

Brower trade is for cap relief and acquire a pair to play alongside Stone with low salary, cause Vegas is making a bunch of stupid trades. That's why I think that trade is possible.

Stajan buy-out makes sense to me, cause he's a waste of salary cap.

Sign King is for PK reasons, cause he's a very good specialist. Besides, he'd bring more physicality to protect a young amd talented team.

Finally, bring back Iginla, the greatest player of the franchise, to win his first well deserved SC and maybe retire as a Flames player.for a cheap salary to fill the bottom six for one last chance to win his first well deserved SC and retire as a Flames player.

That Tatar deal is bonkers. What has he done to warrant $6M per year? I can assure you that he won't be brought in to CGY and given a salary that exceeds Hamilton, Brodie, Backlund, Hamonic, etc.

And CGY isn't dishing out another 1st rounder to try to get him.

Of course Wings fans think this all makes sense though.

Are u kidding, right!? Tatar scores 75 GOALS in 3 seasons, 3 more goals than Gaudreau and much more than any other Flames player but Monahan in that period. And he did this playing in a weak team than yours, specially last season, when he scores 25 GOALS in a terrible team with a garbage PP. So, before you try to sculpt other people armchairs, go watch games of all 30 NHL teams (31 now).
