Take Klingberg and the 4th out + add TWO (2x) 3rds and you’re probably not too far off:

1st + Abruzzese + 3rd for Retention FOR Tanev 50% Ret.
Liljegren + 3rd for Retention FOR Zadorov 50% Ret.

I’d personally take Jarnkrok, Timmins or Niemela instead of a 3rd, but not all Flames Fans would and I also wouldn’t mind seeing Lajoie, Villeneuve and Bobby McMann join the Flames as well

If you want us to take Klingberg back though, we’ll need much more incentive to do that

Zadorov is like a 5th defenceman, similar to Luke Schenn. He’s younger and has a bit of an offensive touch so he worth abit more but Schenn only got a 3rd so maybe abit more then that plus something for retaining

Comparing Zadorov to Schenn is not a good idea or fair

Sure, Schenn is Big & Mean, but he’s old, slow and provides no offence. He’s what is considered a Pylon

Zadorov is something between MTL’s Ben Chiarot and Zdeno Chara. He can do it all and can easily be a 2LD/Top-4 D-Man

Comparing him to chara is crazy. Chara was on of the leagues best defencemen.

Zadorov plays about 18 minutes a night and isn’t really the best defender. Where as Schenn is a better defender.

Obviously u haven’t seen Schenn play in the last 2 years cause I would rather have Schenn than zadorov.

It’s also a pretty big negative that ur 3rd pair defender make almost 4 mil so he has to be retained to fit anywhere.

No chance he’s even worth a first.

No, he’s not near as good Defensively as Chara, but if he was given 20-22+ minutes a night and some PP Time, which is what he wants and why he’s frustrated, he would easily put up 40-50 Points in a Season. He’s seriously improved since joining the Flames and continues to get better. He does make Defensive Fumbles and Mistakes though, yes

You might be the only person who’d want Schenn over Zadorov; certainly no GM would take Schenn over Zadorov given the choice between the two

Schenn’s an AHL’er at this point man. He only did well playing with Quinn Hughes. He sucked for TOR and played 1 Game for NSH this season, so that’s proof right there. He Sucks and again, is basically just a Big Nasty Goon of a Pylon at this point in his career

With Retention, Zadorov will bring a 1st, without, maybe not. There’s a ton of Demand for Big-Z around the League. He’s very desirable and GM’s and Players alike salivate over having a Guy like Zadorov on their Team, especially when he’s good in all 3 Zones, not just standing in Front of the Net or on the PK like your Boy Schenn is only good for

I don’t want to be one of the Lilijgren glazers on here but I think he himself is worth essentially the same as Zedorov (full salary) if not more

I mean that’s a fair valuation and certainly not bad, but it depends on whether CGY is high on Liljegren and what we get offered from the other multiple Teams interested in his services….

We’re obviously going to take the best offer and, just for the record, I’m hoping things get resolved, Dan Nulstein gets Fired and Zadorov stays. I’d rather Big-Z than Liljegren plus a late Pick tbh

Now if it were Liljegren + a Pick for Tanev and Liljegren was returning soon and/or another player like Villeneuve was thrown in, that’d be a different story. I’d do that because it helps provide CGY with their Tanev Replacement. I’d much rather have Liljegren than a TOR-1st Round Pick, but My Boy @Kinger25 wouldn’t 😘
