I agree with putting Vilardi at 2C and leaving the 1st and 3rd line intact, as those line have been doing well. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the team gave Perfetti another run at 2C and had Vilardi on the wing.

Vilardi isn't exactly stellar in the faceoff circle, if you have someone to take his faceoffs he definitely can do everything else.

Which is true, but Perfetti, although drafted as a center has only played maybe a dozen games at center, and has played mostly on the wing since he's been in the NHL.

Vilardi couldn't steal the center job from our current 4th line center (Lizotte) when he was in LA, the guy is an offensive and defensive beast but has no interest in improving in the faceoff zone and has said as much. The long-term need at C was more vital than wing for LA, which I believe was the main reason for the trade. He might succeed with the Jets, but in the Kings system the guy just wasn't a center.

If Vilardi and Perfetti are on the same line, they can take the strong side FO and both be decent at it. I say we try Vilardi at C and see how it goes

Worth a try, he's a few years removed but he really thrived when switched to wing. He might need some time to get back into the swing of it.
