Acquire Rasmus, trade DeMelo, keep Schmidt and buy him out in the summer.

Acquiring both Lindholm and Rasmus would cost a ton, 2C and 1RHD are the holes that need filling though.

I don’t have one untouchable piece if they go after Andersson.

Perfetti, Pionk, Lucius, Stanley a 1st and a 3rd for both players. Cap works exactly. Calgary gets back Perfetti and lucius who have 4 and 5 years of team control, respectively, Stanley is a reclamation project and Pionk is to replace Andersson in the lineup. Calgary probably takes a step back next year, then goes forward in 2025 with a reloaded cupboard, and lots of guys on the team who still contribute.

keep Demelo, trade Pionk and buy out schmidt this summer. Trading Demelo creates another problem that isnt solved by bringing in Andersson. We need a guy to elevate the second pairing, not to play with Morrissey. Morrissey and Demelo are already really really good, you don't need to reinvent the wheel, you need someone who can take Samberg's pairing to the next level, then have Dillon and Schmidt tread water. let Dillon go in the summer, and buy out schmidt. Promote Heinola and Chisholm next year with Salomonsson as the 7d, filling in for injuries.

Edit: Even if Lindholm walks in the summer, Lambert comes in next season to fill that slot. I think this is a really good 'let's go for it' move for the jets.

I guess so, BUT who has cap space that can fit Pionk this year AND next? DeMelo is a lot easier to fit for other teams which is why I'd look at moving him, not sure if Calgary would want him back in an Andersson trade, too bad the Jets didn't draft Andersson instead of Harkins.... 🙄

They really need to just go for it at this point.
