Well you’re making me think here looking at the oilers trades. Unfortunately I’m debating which one oilers laugh at harder. Im going to go with the goalie swap. At least Campbell isn’t a basket case and is well known as a good person.

I mean I’m not so sure that Binnington has ever been labeled as a bad person. Does he let his emotions get the best of him sometimes sure. But it’s generally provoked.

Binnington has the ability to get absolutely red hot that Campbell doesn’t have. Is it worth a 1st 2nd and a 3rd to Edmonton. I’m not too sure. But I’d certainly much rather have Binnington to Campbell at similar contracts.

The general approach to your 3 year plan is pretty conservative. I don’t see the Faulk for Carlson trade in 3 years being too terribly beneficial.

Also just nitpicking. There’s a much much higher chance Dvorsky is ready to be a 2C vs Bolduc. Bolduc will most likely be a scoring winger.

I’m not sure how long the front office will standby and be conservative though. There’s too much good 2nd tier talent to term in their prime. With the prospect pool including Dvorsky, Snuggerud, Bolduc, Dean, Stenberg and Lindstein I think it’s very safe to assume in 3 years time 3 of those 6 are helping the NHL club in some role. We desperately lack a top end LD. Drafting a Dickinson and him hitting would do massive wonders for this franchise.

Not sure Kuzmenko is needed. But another scorer probably is so I understand the thought process

If St. Louis has a way to get rid of Krug, Schenn, Binnington, Saad, Hayes and Leddy and maybe even Parayko I would. Even if they were all like very little value or the blues even paid a bit. St Louis has a lot of good stuff going on rn in the pool

Completely fair. Maybe a change of scenery is good for Campbell. Neither goalie has really had much support defensively in the past couple of years. And some people see the flares as more disruptive than others.
