Save Slaf from Anderson

Description
Weird to say... but Slaf would have at least 5 points if Anderson was actually able to finish.

How many occasion were squandered after Anderson missed an open net after fumbling a nice set-piece by Slaf...

The young guy is far from perfect on the ice... but damn - he needs to be moved away from Andy - especially when Dvorak comes back.

Sending him to a team who's got the cap space - too many picks and the desire to a minimal show for their fans (which Anderson provides). Like he's a powerhorse - will be fast af, hit hard... and score around 15-20 on rush chances. Will fight from time to time if he needs to.

Basicly, will make it fun - but won't hurt your continued tanking.

I want Perry back - but the price is VERY negotiable!

Name them
Ones that
-Have Breakout Ability with their Speed at his Size
-Have his Power and Intensity
-Will Fight even if its usually to a bear hug Draw.
-Cycles Pucks out from the Corners.
-Plays the Rodeo Clown cause chaos so other players can take advantage.

IMO you fix it by landing what Dach brought that ever Center in MTL cant for these two
Give them a big Power Center like McBain, Faksa or even a more Compact rugged Center like Sissons
McBain was someone Hughes was a final team in on him after he Graduated from College so the desire is there.
I think Slafkovsky-McBain-Anderson become a force worth respecting

I will let me say this first:

Breakout ability means nothing when you dont produce

Power and intensity? Lmao doesnt matter when you dont produce

Idc about fighting

Cycles pucks out from corners? Defenseman do that

Rodeo clown what? What are you talking about lmao is this a joke

40 forwards better than him? Okay here are 253. If you really want me to sort through these for forwards id consider powerforwards I will too but this is all I could think of for now. And i am sure im missing tons

I thought you just listed everyone tall not Power Forwards.
Then i saw "Caufield" and stopped reading as clearly this is the standard you bring to the table
The Great Power Forward Cole ****ing Caufield hahahahahahaha
I mean Bedard , Suzuki and Debrincat though were equally as Hilarious to picture as Power Forwards hahahaha

Is there better Goal Scorers? No **** , thank you Captain ****ing Obvious
That wasnt the statement or debate being made on any level . . . .

Rodeo Clown for those of use Country folk who respect and understand their role isnt an insult.
Its the ability to Control Chaos while Walking the line without getting injured.

The role you are describing is a roll that has been ousted from the league as no team is dumb enough to prioritize it.

This is beyond laughable. Goodbye buddy

Yeah i believe Kent Hughes
You're a dude with a Keyboard who ignores context to blur the lines in hope you dont realize how lost you are.

You got a question about hockey , ask and Learn from those who played.
I do it when i watch Basketball , Football or Soccer so i dont sound like im out of touch with how the sport works.
for Example i dont talk about Tight Ends when talking CFL as they dont exist , its an acutal position they did not want despite the NFL/NCAA using it.
It took someone who played to explain it to me in a way i could understand .

Anyways Enjoy life , im sure its magical

Hughes has been a great GM, doesnt change the fact that he isnt perfect and makes mistakes lol.

Your theory is that every GM is better than us plebs so we should blindly trust them-- thats a good thought from a real bright and independant mind like yourself!

This is a lot of fun.

You have used purely subjective and meaningless traits to describe why someone is good, and its so funny. Peace!

Ok , which mistakes are we addressing currently while you vaguely try to blurr the lines 3 hours after we stopped talking when i was in bed?
This is what i dislike about your posts. You try to ignore the Conversation at hand to make yourself seem more credible then you are.
Just provide sources and stop being a blow hard.

I believe you can be logic based buy your closing argument was the Coach is blinded by Bias but you're not.
Its possibly the most Obliviously Ironic statement you could say.

I used Facts and asked you to contest them
Instead this was the display you gave the Forum
"i know better then coaches who are bias to certain types of players i clearly am not"
It was actually brutal to read as i know you can make some pretty valid points
I just think this subject is your blind spot

Before you deny it based purely on bias.
Look at your name FFS it literally flows with Bias against the main Subject of Contention.

Not thats a lot of Opinion
Kent Hughes Evaluation of Andersons Value was what i was referencing in Context.
I can own the difference between Opinion and Fact. I have no issue with Accountability for all , me included.
But you speak in ignorance rather then ask questions with the goal of understanding why it doesnt make sense to you . . .
Instead you believe a team just gave him that money for no reason and that being a Pro Athlete in the NHL is Cookie Cutter .

Again the bias is in your profiles name.
Someone objective would have at least owned that
They attempted to explain their logic

What you did was claim to have more insight then a Pro Agent for decades turn GM who's done it from all sides.
Thats where you lost me . Even when i dont agree i dont undermine people with proven credibility in order to appear credible.
It may work to fool dumb people but really it exposes someone as motivated by hate over logic or understanding .

You dont read statements to understand another person POV
you read to cherry pick things out of context in hopes to troll
you do this to avoid defend accusations you cant defend about having nothing Factual to offer.

This has been informative
Thank You

"What you did was claim to have more insight then a Pro Agent for decades turn GM who's done it from all sides."

I didnt claim this. It is very simple imo. Every deal has two sides, and one sides comes out on top and the other loses (in vast majority of deals).

Your logic is that I am claiming to know more than him, but I am not. Hughes is one of the brightest minds in hockey imo. I could seriously go on about how he as done an incredible job. But, using your logic if I said that since he knows more than me, I trust him, wouldnt that be me saying I know more than Anderson's agent, or even Anderson himself?

Ill summarize my opinions on Anderson

Is he bad? No. Is he a top 6 guy though? No. Is he a solid 3rd liner who can produce a little, be physical and have a strong presence on the game? I wouldnt go that far but id say he is someone id like to have on my team on a 1-2 year deal for 2-3 million.

My issue with him purely stems from how Habs fans have continuously said that he has intangibles, or that his presence on the game extends way more than the boxscore, or other BS like that.

And look, I did that same BS with Josh Bailey lol. Since tavares left and he fell off i have said he is unlucky, is a great leader and great person, he opens the ice for everyone else, great PK guy, etc. And since then, I have looked at why I did that and realized I was just a big NYI fan defending him and that it is better to use objective facts to evaluate players. And one issue for me when evaluating players is letting their contracts, good or bad, sway me in a direction. I was wayyyyy too high on Tage Thompson because I thought he was on one of the best deals in hockey, which he is. And I got to a point where I was actually saying Boqvist was gonna be better than Seth Jones (LMAO) just because those deals are so bad. And a more general example, everyone thought Bobrovsky was terrible because of his atrocious deal, but he proved everyone wrong with the cup run.

So in summary, sure I probably am too hard on Anderson, but it is so f----g hard to not get all argumentative when talking to Habs fan about Anderson because they are so annoying (not all but a good amount) about how he has traits that cannot be objectively measured.

And for the record, although I think Michkov was the better pick, Hughes has done an incredible job as GM. Reinbacher, Hutson, CC extension, Suzuki extension, Matheson trade, Dach and Newhook trades gonna workout well, building up the defense pool, somehow fleecing in those Chiarot and Lehkonen deals, and ik im missing more. His only flaws imo have been the Anderson trade and still having Gallaghers deal on the books imo, but those wil go away over time. I think MTL is really a center and goalie away. Even Jacob Fowler was a great pick and could be the guy in 4-5 years too imo. Plus Beck and Kidney could blossom. Oh and I forgot the Roy pick and development lol.

There!

Is he bad?

There!

Welcome to life as a Sports fans , there's varying levels of us with different levels of understanding .
Easier to talk it out so they dont repeat the same mistakes over and over

What they mean are easy things to Quantify and Exaplin
Anderson's some who Hits, Shoots, Talks **** , Fights and above all else has Amazing Speed for a Big Man.
While i'd never consider him a top guy he's a key role player and leader on the team thats 100% for sure.
I think of him the same way i do Skinner , they're good leaders to have they just are haunted by taking a big payday from Bad GM's who arent GM's anymore.

Other teams have a lot of that, put no value on it even maybe.
But in MTL at least guys like him get priority as they're in short supply.
Even Armia got overpaid as did Petry did to as MB Prioritized Size over Skill.

But that said we dont defend Petry or Armia the same way with Cause.
They were inconsistent after paid while Andersons just been Anderson for better or worse.
Overpaid but still someone we'd choose to keep if he wasnt.

But im in the camp that sees the cost of moving him or Gallagher was not worth it.
It just means Bridge deals for now or Dach/Newhook deals until their final years together.
We got no Goalie to Overpay and our D as long as we dont keep Matheson is fine

Jeff Skinner is a PPG 30+ goal scorer. Please don't try and place Anderson in any conversation with him
