Usually better to error on the side of playing a guy in the AHL even if you're "over developing" him

Fair point, the problem is sometimes it’s bringing them up to early, some times it’s not giving them an opportunity, sometimes it’s just bad luck.
I will say we’re not doing Bordeleau any good right now playing in the NHL.
Sharks have a history of rushing players too soon and hurting their careers and for me Bordeleau isn’t cutting it. I expected this and accept it.
But Thrun down and Vlasic up and Knyzhov benched is a head scratcher.
I don’t think the AHL is bad at all, for example the decision of Eklunds AHL (2 seasons) was definitely a requirement and one I hoping for.
But when we’re playing Vlasic and Hoffman consistently it’s kinda counterintuitive. Even Duclair who I said should be given some more time to get going; all three were equal to if not by far worse than Bordeleau yet only 1 was scratched. Just saying I’d rather Bordeleaus stock be valued more and I think the entire team has been bad (we’re tanking so no buggy) at times but a select few players (Eklund, Both goalies for example have been great). So when Bordeleau Knyzhov and Thrun get sent down/ scratched it seems confusing for them as messaging when they can watch players on the ice who shouldn’t be on the ice. Like watching Vlasic physically hurts.
I don’t think Thrun and Bordeleau (if it happens) being in the AHL in January/ February is going to be a good decision (if they’re still there).
Rutta has been brutal, Hoffman and Duclair are ghosts mostly currently, Vlasic hurts, Benning I’m mixed on. Givani Smith has been actually fair but he’s not really moving any needles on the bigger picture. Labanc should just traded or buried - he’s mostly a ghost and he’s leaving us if we don’t trade him.
