what more would you like in this trade cause the canucks are not giving up picks. maybe garland + truscott + Christian Wolanin who's a really good 3LD just hasn't got the opportunity to prove it fully

if CGY is out of it by the halfway point of the season then I could see something like this happening, Truscott is a good prospect and Beauvillier with retention could fetch a second at the deadline, Tanev is great but he's also old with injury problems so his return won't be as large as Flames fans would like if they decide to trade him.

Couldn't agree more. if they do fall out of contention. This trade works. For forwards there is no better place then Calgary to rejuvenate your offence.

Calgary doesn't want Beauvillier. If we trade Tanev it'll be for futures and/or cap space. They won't be taking a smallish overpaid pending UFA left shot winger who makes almost as much money in return and Truscott doesn't have any value to Calgary.

Dube is better and cheaper than Beauvillier and he's a pending RFA not UFA.
