I can't see Yzerman sending off two draft picks to get an older player and a higher cap hit

Fabbri never plays and you're not just paying for Myers, you're getting rid of Ben Chiarot who has three years left on his contract. Myers is on the last year of his deal.

It is bad asset management when a team doesn’t NEED to get rid of a contract, let alone paying a (Raymond, Seider, Kasper, Danielson, Cossa, ASP) to do it. 99.9% would agree with me, not you. Basic stuff, you’ll learn.
-Strike 1

You contradict yourself by saying Detroit needs to find stars. First rounders help do that, just so you’re aware. Second rounders also… just a fun fact. So three potential impact players (currently in the form of picks) in exchange for what exactly? To go from 3 years of 3LD to 1 year of a 3RD (to which the team has Holl and Petry cool ) and two years of an old Oshie who would do little more than a healthy Fabbri? Wow, brilliant, take SY’s job.
-Strike 2

With all your goofy trades getting rid of Larkin, Raymond, and Seider in addition to all cap space and draft capital you constantly waste, it’s amazing you haven’t just come out and said move the team. You must not understand the NHL is not a video game that ends and can reset when you hit a button.
-Strike 3

Fabbri @ 2x4 and two 2nd rounders is far more valuable to Detroit (take a peek at some previous 2nd round selections) than a declining Oshie on a team that is trying to help Ovechkin get the goal record while making last pushes for playoffs.

A 1st is more valuable than Myers, who would also be a bottom pairing D that doesn’t make the team significantly better or worse, as the 1st has a chance to help the team make actual changes. Chiarot’s contract doesn’t hurt the team.
