The biggest question mark is Alex Holtz, who has played the entire pre-season with Hischier and Meier. If he makes lineup, we are probably looking at option 1 for forwards. 4th line may be moved around a bit to get Foote, Lazar in lineup). Graeme Clarke is also a possibility to make team if Holtz does not. Or they could send down both rookies and use Tierney or Bowers as extra forwards to get Holtz and Clarke reps in Utica. The other position uncertainties are 3C where Haula, Mercer, McLeod and maybe even Clarke are candidates. One of Haula or Mercer will be on the Hughes line. If both go to Hughes line, McLeod could move up to 3C (and Nosek to 4C). 4LW may also be a rotation to start between Nosek, Nolan Foote, Lazar (outside chance Halonen works in if healthy).

That’s fair but I think Mercer gets moved back to the wing only because haula is there to stay and he’s a great center, also I think holtz gets the nod out of preaseason and gets a chance this year from the start
