Yup. We'll see the bottom 6 tomorrow and likely some of the top 6 Monday would be my guess. I'd say Evan Rawal is correct in assuming that Dermy is now fighting for his NHL life. Bednar saying that he's a forward takes away his "flexibility" that kept him on the roster in the past. I would imagine that Tufte or Oloffson overtakes him for the 13th forward spot without much of a fight.

They can say that but one guy filling that 13F/7d role is tempting, a lot imo is going to be Malinski’s play.

But if he's not working with the D group anymore, he's not going to know their systems or have any value back there. I bet Malinski gets an even longer look now. And I bet Hanzel starts the year in Loveland.

Hanzel is supposed to be going back to the WHL I think, but we shall see. I personally think Malinski is already that 7D and if he looks good in preseason I think he could become the 6D

Hanzel was a LARGE step above everyone but Malinski in the Rookie Tournament. He could absolutely play his way into a contract over the next two weeks.

I certainly hope so. No reason for him not to. That's just what I've heard
